IDA has named Dr. Jay Asdell as its new president for the 2016-2017 fiscal year. Dr. Asdell has been a member of IDA since 1986.
The existing claims IHCP processing system is being replaced with a new, more automated Medicaid management information system (MMIS) called Core MMIS. The new system is designed to more accurately and efficiently adjudicate claims according to IHCP coverage policies and national billing guidelines.
A member’s benefit period depends on when the member enrolls in the HIP program. Once an individual is enrolled in HIP, the 12-month benefit period begins.
We just learned CMS will delay enforcement of the Medicare Part D Prescriber Enrollment Requirements until February 1, 2017. CMS also strongly encourages prescribers of Part D drugs to submit their Medicare enrollment applications or opt-out affidavits to their Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs) before August 1, 2016.

All providers enrolled with the Indiana Health Coverage Programs (IHCP) before January 1, 2012, must revalidate their provider enrollments by March 26, 2016.
Indiana Health Coverage Programs (IHCP) has corrected the prior authorization requirements for codes D9223 and D9243. Claims that have been previously denied may be resubmitted for consideration.
