How many times do you wish you had the right resource to answer your questions about day to day business of practicing dentistry? IDA and IUSD have created a place to ask the questions on your mind and engage other peers to see how they are doing it.
Remember those early mornings in Dental School when you should have been paying attention but decided to gaze off into space during clinic rounds?  Well now you get a second chance.  We have put together an informal study club format where recent graduates (up to ten years) can come together on a regular basis to hear subjects that are interesting and timely and discuss them with professionals and peers who are dealing with your situation.  Think of it as a Practical GPR where the topics are centered around the practice issues you are facing today.
“Rounds for Recent Grads” is starting this summer in Indianapolis.  The sessions will begin at 6:00 pm on Thursday evening with a presentation by a local expert on a practice related topic. After the approximate 45-60 minutes presentation we will then take approximately one hour small group discussion, practical exercises and or question and answer opportunity on the evening’s topic.  Not only will you get to learn from and pick the brain of an expert but you can learn in groups from other new dentists who are at different practices but in the same situations.

Study Club format:
5:30 to 6:00 pm      Arrival, Snacks, Networking
6:00 to 7:00 pm      Information Download from Industry Expert
7:00 to 8:00 pm      Group Exercises, Practical Applications, Question and Answer
8:00 pm                  Adjournment; group networking on your own.
You may choose to attend one session as a drop in or hopefully all of the sessions so we can learn from the experts and each other. The dues for the study club series will be $150.00 total. This includes 6 hours of Indiana State Board and ADA CERP approved continuing education instruction; group interaction with dental peers; one on one questions time with an industry professional and take away resources you can apply the next day in practice.

Indiana Dental Association Leadership Development Committee is offering a limited time $50 scholarship for the first twenty new dentists who register.  The first 20 to sign up will only pay $100 for the 6 continuing education hours over the three sessions.
